There is evidence suggesting that the increasing population of people with diabetes mellitus could be due to their exposure to air pollution, especially in the indoor environment – building, bus, train, etc. The outdoor environment is a major source of the pollutants in the indoor environment. Air pollutants find their way into the indoor environment through outdoor to indoor air-exchange – ventilation and infiltration. What would this finding mean to building users, operators, policymakers, and owners?
